She was very flexible with our dietary requests and created a custom menu for us. She made us feel like family in her home, and went above and beyond in sharing her story, Cretan food culture, and the history of this special place. She kept us involved in the preparation of the meal without making it feel like a chore or overwhelming us. She made sure we were snacking on delicious tapas the whole time and offered us refreshments of our choice too. The food itself was amazing — delicious, easy to learn, and prepared in a traditional fashion with sustainable practices. Frini is a wonderful person whose joy, passion, and love for what she does shines through at all times. We can’t wait to come back!!

We sampled a lot of delicious fresh produce from the farmers market. Afterwards we had some traditional Cretan food. You really do "Do it like a Cretan". The tour lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours. It isn't just a cooking class and you won't just leave with full bellies - you'll also get to experience a slice of Cretan hospitality. And the food is incredible! We ate so much that we waddled home afterwards. Frini is unbelievably generous with her time, stories, and homemade raki. She's a gem of a person! We were so lucky to have found this class.

We were then served as much beer as we wanted as Frini walked us through how to make the most delicious Cretan food we had on the island! We could participate as much as we wanted. All the food was local and seasonal. Frini, her sister and the brewery staff were personable, kind and this was one of the highlights of our time in Crete!!

It was in the comfort of her home and she was very welcoming. Frini customized the menu to a vegetarian one which was great! She made me try several things off menu too which she made herself. She also taught me so many things about Cretan food culture. I spent a wonderful afternoon learning and of course eating. The food we made was easy to make but super tasty and guaranteed a local delicacy. Frini is an amazing teacher who really managed to make it a one-of-a-kind experience. I will for sure come back to see her once I am back in Crete.
