★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ran into it by accident but was worth seeing the church and the ruins outside - appearently it jusy reopened from restoration works so our day in Heraklion was perfectly timed. Free entry as well which was nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A semi-ruin church with the full ruins of a monastery in its grounds, this was a surprising little free attraction we stumbled across. Not much going on inside at all beyond the structure itself and some modern mosaics, but nonetheless an interesting visit which I'd highly recommend to both history and religion buffs alike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the chance to visit the interior of this church the night of 29 of June. A local security guard informed me that it was recently renovated and that there was a celebration of Saint Peter name earlier that night. It was built in 12th century but was destroyed many times because of the war. A wonderfully renovated Catholic Church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Dominican church rebuilt some years ago since it was only ruins for many years. Big inside and totally different than the orthodox churches . At West side is still some ruins from the older buildings.very nice experience to visit it.
