★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το μοναστήρι ανήκει στο όρος Σινά. Βρίσκεται στην περιοχή Περιβολα που περιγράφει ο Νίκος Καζαντζάκης και συνδέεται άρρηκτα με την ιστορία του Ηρακλείου.
Στο δάπεδο του ναού, έχουν ταφεί μάρτυρες από τις σφαγές των κατοχικών στρατευμάτων των Τούρκων.
Σε περιοπτα σημεία υπάρχουν πινακες του 1540 μ. Χ. Και του 1770 μ Χ. (Καστροφύλακα και Ιωάννη Κορνάρου)
Η ατμόσφαιρα κατανυκτική, και το περιβάλλον γαλήνιο. Ιδανική για να απολαύσεις, να προσευχηθεις τις ιδιαίτερες στιγμές της χριστιανοσυνης όπως την μεγάλη Παρασκευή, την Ανάσταση κλπ.

In small places there are paintings of 1540 AD and 1770 AD (Kastrofylakas and Ioannis Kornarou)
