This is a beautiful villa, which is well maintained, high spec, overlooked only from a distance (and even then, not much since your neighbours will probably be looking towards the sea rather than around the side of their property.) It has great views and a beautifully maintained garden. We barely left it all week. We rented via James Villas and asked not to have a visit from the rep as we like our privacy. However, the host is very friendly and she came unannounced to the property on the first evening, and again midweek to clean, which we weren't expecting. She's very sweet, also generous and kind, bringing food with her and providing wine. So, when you book, it is worth mentioning if you are vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free or gluten intolerant and likewise, to be explicit if you don't want a visit from *anyone*, not only the rep. In addition there's another day in which the garden is tended, which of course is necessary. Overall Domus Eleon is very much a peaceful, idyllic retreat. Outdoors: very pretty. Pool lights come on automatically (ideally, the timing would be changed as it was a couple of hours after dark when we were there in September) and you can switch the pool fountains on or off yourself. Previous guests had left some pool toys. The sun loungers (6) were very comfortable and there's plenty of space and three parasols. You can follow the sun round to a cute seated area towards one side of the property. The whole property is great for finding different places to lie or sit. There's a lovely balcony to the main bedroom with muted or bright lighting. Lighting throughout the property is well done, enhancing an already delightful atmosphere. You can switch most lights off and stargaze from the furthest sun loungers for a very chilled out end to your day. One of the nicest showers in the villa is by the pool! Indoors: We barely used the inside space as the outdoors area is so comfortable and welcoming. We didn't need to use the downstairs flat but if you do, you'll see that has its own seating area too. The aircon in the bedrooms is very efficient and unobtrusive but it is noisier downstairs, as it's cooling a big open space. The main bed is very comfortable, there are plenty of towels, including some for poolside. There are plenty of gadgets in the kitchen but no decent knives and no knife sharpener. A couple of tips: previous guests had left spirits (thanks!), as did we, and there are also some herbs, salt, paper napkins, cling film, and bin liners. At first we didn't notice these as one cabinet is the type where you merely push the door to open, and the other is tall and slim and the other side of the fridge... so we had walked past it for a day or so, wishing we had salt! The host (I think) had left some dishwasher tablets, which was helpful. Upstairs is a laundry room. The controls for the washing mashine are in Greek but there are some numbers on it, so we picked 30. Note you need to push the Start button twice. Take your own laundry powder/tablets. Guests had also left some novels (thanks again) in the "office" space and there was an iPod dock there. There are TVs but I can't comment as we weren't indoors enough to switch them on. Generally: You need a car but the local supermarket was pretty well stocked. We didn't find a particularly special restaurant in the local area - it was a bit garish down by the beach. If you're a foodie, it's worth doing some homework for that.

Amazing villa. Clean and modern, big enough to easily sleep 8, although there was only three of us we could have easily lost each other. Amazing views, close to lots of local bars, restaurants and taverns. Owners visited us a few times, very friendly always bringing wine or home cooked meals. Miss it already.
