★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Donkeys work in a very bad conditions, travelling more than 2-3 times up and down carrying people who doesn't know how to properly ride a donkey. They look sick, exhausted. They dont have enough watee. Why the government or PETA don't pay proper attention on their conditions. The whole business should be forbidden
Mostly Chinese who is excited about this service, having no respect to animals, they could spend the same amount of money for the cable car. Shame!

Some donkeys even have injuries and they are forced to carry heavy tourists up the stars every day anyways!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!! These donkeys are given zero water and are clearly suffering from dehydration. I’m disgusted that Santorini allows this kind of animal abuse, they clearly do not care for their animals that provide a job for them. If you are too lazy to walk down the stairs, take the cable car. It’s 2022 we have technology for a reason, no need to torture these animals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't take the donkeys for a walk or just don't take the stairs if you're lazy. The people handling the thing are very rude and they don't care how much it's dangerous to leave 10 donkeys getting down the stairs without control while people are walking up. And if you try to speak to them you will get insulted in Greek.
