Went with a friend for an early 6pm dinner to avoid the busy crowds after 8pm, as most of us are extra careful due to the pandemic outbreak currently seen in most European countries. Overall we were very happy with the food quality, wine and kindness of staff. We got two appetisers, two prime cuts, two sides and a bottle of wine and we paid €250. Overall this is an upscale restaurant that was highly recommended to us and as such we had very high expectations. The only thing that would deter me from going back in the short future is the lack of strict adherence to covid 19 protocols. The restaurant has an open plan kitchen so anyone dining can view the kitchen area and a meat area where the butcher speaks to diners and then prepares the meat diners choose. None of the employees in this area wore their face mask properly. Everyone - and I mean literally everyone - when around the kitchen would lower their mask to their chin. The mask was only worn properly when the waiters served our tables. Whilst I appreciate that this shows respect for the diners, I really didn’t feel very comfortable knowing that my food was prepared with their mask off. Similarly when the waiters were chatting to each other, they would lower the mask to the chin and would chat above the empty tables. One thing the pandemic has taught us is that if someone’s droplets end on your plate you most certainly will get covid. When the specialist who prepared the meat spoke to the diners and explained the different cuts, he would not wear his mask either. I appreciate it’s inconvenient to wear the mask while speaking or working, however as a visitor to such a high-end restaurant I would have preferred a stricter policy adherence. Overall a 3/5 for me, I would have put 4/5 but really the adherence to covid protocols from such an upscale restaurant has put me off.

Very nicely decorated and we know that Drakoulis has very good quality meat as we buy our meats from them. Nonetheless, when we went to visit their kifissia restaurant the butcher insisted on selling the wagyu although i had told him i did not want a fatty meat and requested a fillet. He guaranteed that the wagyu flank was super lean and that the fat would melt. Let me tell you we could not eat it as it was not what we wanted. I’ll give it another try but please listen to your customers, dont just try to sell the most expensive cut; build a clientele. I would not refer to other cuts as “cheaper” it is derogatory to yourselves.

Over-prised. Decent steak although really small for 50 euro price tag, decent salad. On the other hand the wagyu burger was terrible. Basically we were served fat between 2 buns of bread.

Terrible! A complete disappointment! Please save your money, there are much better meat places out there. This place is average at best. I would like to add some further comments to my experience in order to help the management team improve their food and service. The main problem that I experienced was overcooked meat. In particular I ordered a filet medium rare and it came back medium well. The way that this was handled by the server was to literally take two pieces of the steak from my plate to the chef for review, which I thought was quite inappropriate. The server came back later with the two pieces of me telling me that indeed they were over cooked but in the middle of the steak I would find temperature closer to my liking. I found that comment by the chef quite patronizing. In addition to the above, 75% of the wine list was not available as they told us they were changing their wine list. However this resulted in them not having a single bottle of red wine less than €100. That is quite a bit pricey for just a bottle of wine, even for this place. I believe the main problem lies with the service in that the waiters themselves are very young and inexperienced and not at all appropriate for such an expensive restaurant. They really do not know the meats and this is left to the gauchos in the butchers but you are only interacting with them for a brief moment when you order and when they bring the meat. Then they disappear and they leave all problems to be handled by these young and inexperienced servers. Anyways overall for four persons we spent €600 and having dined in many fine establishments in Greece and especially in the Athens area I found the overall food, service and experience to be very dissatisfying. Final note, I have visited this establishment several times before having an average experience but not quite as bad as this one.

Nice decorated restaurant, nice relaxing music. The food now, gyros for starter was very tasty as usual, for sides fried potatoes and wild mushrooms were excellent. The creamed spinach was ok. And finally the meat we took a New York strip and a rib eye steaks (black angus) and we ordered them medium. The New York strip was cooked correctly and it was very tasty. The Rib Eye unfortunately although it was a thick cut around 750 hrs it was overcooked. It was tasty but for 70 euros this is not acceptable for a high end steak house. The service was polite and offered us Prosecco. The deserts were ok. For an expensive restaurant it was disappointing since the overall experience was average thus very overpriced.

another butcher who opened up a restaurant thinking they can reach fine dining. At 2,5 hours of two bottles of wine and a check of more than 250€ we were told we had to pay and leave. I dont think theres more to say really. if you like great meat and the worst customer service and attitude sure go. Drakoulis team this message is for you: catalogue says «be savage not average” . Darlings you are below average i d rather go to l'abreuvoir, or basegrill and actually enjoy great meat and customer service.

Wonderful addition to the kifisia dining scene. The food is impeccable and thought through. The meat is cooked to perfection. The cocktails are exquisite and the wine list is extensive. Excellent service.

I completely agree that this is an over-priced restaurant, as many people have pointed out. Also, the Wagyu burger had only fat and about 2mm of actual meat. That was interesting. On the other hand, the service and atmosphere were great.
