★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στον χώρο αυτό, που είναι κτισμένη η όμορφη η εκκλησία του Αγίου Χαραλάμπους, υπήρχε παλαιότερα, ο δίθολος ναός της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου και του Αγίου Χαραλάμπους.
Στην κατοχή όμως και λίγο πριν φύγουν οι Γερμανοί, στις 22 Αυγούστου το 1944, έκαψαν όλο το χωριό και ανατίναξαν πολλά κτίρια μαζί και την εκκλησία της Παναγίας, εμείς σαν παιδιά θυμόμαστε τα χαλάσματα της, όπου παίζαμε και μεγαλώσαμε στον χώρο αυτό.
Η εκκλησία της Παναγίας, κτίστηκε μετά τον πόλεμο σε άλλο σημείο, (Αγκαθές), όπου είναι πλέον και η ενορία του χωριού.
Η δε εκκλησία του Αγίου Χαραλάμπους, κτίσθηκε πολύ αργότερα, στα χαλάσματα της «Παναγίας», στο Πανωχώρι.
Δίπλα στον Άγιο Χαράλαμπο, υπάρχει ακόμα, ως μνημείο το καμπαναριό της παλιάς εκκλησίας.
Η μνήμη του Αγίου Χαραλάμπου εορτάζεται στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου.
In this area, where the beautiful church of Saint Charalambos is built, there used to be the dome of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary and Saint Charalambos.
But in the possession and just before the Germans left, on 22 August 1944, they burned the whole village and blew up many buildings together with the church of Our Lady, as children remember the ruins where we played and grew up in this area.
The church of Panagia was built after the war in another place, where it is now the parish of the village.
The church of Agios Charalambos was built much later in the ruins of "Panagia" in Panochori.
Next to Agios Charalampos, there is still a monument to the bell tower of the old church.
The memory of Saint Charalambos is celebrated on February 10th.
