Best Greek Orthodox church in Greece

Beauté du lieu ou le temps semble s'être arrêté. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas d'infos pour visiter cette charmante église qui contiendrait de très belles fresques. Quelques chèvres aux abords semblent veiller sur le site de toute beauté... Quiet and quiet to define this extraordinary place located a little on the borders of nowhere between the villages of Samonas and Ramni. Beauty of the place where time seems to have stopped. Too bad there is no info to visit this charming church that contains beautiful frescoes. A few goats around seem to watch over the site of all beauty ...
P	Philippe Goudeau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Je confirme l'avis de Carole. On peut ouvrir les deux grilles qui donnent accès au cimetière et à l'église mais celle-ci est bien fermée. Nous y sommes venus à 13h00 un mercredi. Par contre, les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus par quelqu'un qui doit bien avoir la clé. Les moutons alentours ne sont pas mieux renseignés ! I confirm Carole's opinion. You can open the two gates which give access to the cemetery and the church but it is closed. We came there at 1:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. On the other hand, the exteriors are very well maintained by someone who must have the key. The surrounding sheep are not better informed!

J	JP Lapeyre on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Greek Orthodox chapel of Saint Nicholas. Actually built as 2 sections in 2 different times. The art works are amazing. Frescos contain images from the New Testament including a unique interpretation of Jesus’ baptism with St. John the Baptist. As others have said, the chapel is normally locked. Our access was arranged through Vamos Village Tourist office and was a short stop during the “Producers Tour”. I’m not usually a tour person, but we booked several tours with Artemis and she was a wonderful guide. Would HIGHLY recommend.
