★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice quiet hotel. Ideal location to visit north and south of the island (you'll nevertheless need to drive)...and you can have cool nights which is pleasant to recover from warm days. Maria, the owner, will give you good advices to discover the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful rural retreat in the mountains near Patsos Gorge. Great family run hotel with wonderful welcome from Maria. Simple but tasty home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Great views from hotel, excellent well equipped apartments - very homely. Nice pool with bar and restaurant. Family wine cave for tasting and choosing your own wine for meals. Amazing! Well worth the 30-40 minute drive from Chania to get there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place to stay in the region! Easy access to so many gorges and trails and an incredible view on Mount Psiloritis. The pool is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The best part however is the warm welcome from the hotel owner. Maria’s big heart and smile made us want to stay longer!! She gave us some really nice advice on what to see in the area.
It’s really worth it to drive the ~40 minutes out of Rethymno and experience this beautiful village life for a couple of days ? We hope to be back someday!
