★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here on Monday 3rd of August. It was an absolute gem of a place. The food is all freshly cooked and tastes amazing. There's no menu, you get told what's available that day. It's not a huge selection, but it's varied enough to satisfy most tastes, including children. The prices are very reasonable. The village of Meronas is well worth a quick visit, and if you do visit, stop here.

The two sisters and the mother will make you discover with pleasure a fresh and tasty kitchen.
How else can we imagine Crete than in these simple dishes full of
sun and enthusiasm?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very friendly and welcoming taverna in Meronas. Beautiful views of mountains and fresh local food to eat. Really, the food is excellent. And the local wine and homemade Raki, you will not be disappointed. We felt blessed to visit this relaxing taverna. I just wish I could get the recipe for the meatballs. ;-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great small, local tavern. Cozy, homely, interior, very tasty Greek cuisine. Good homemade wine. Everything is cheap. As always, a nice present in the form of ouzo and sweets. A big difference from tourist restaurants, for the better of course.

Everything is made into this kitchen and you will realize it as soon as you reach the place.
These people love and respect their land's goods. Bravo!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An incredible, delicious, unmissable taverna! Lovely staff and the food is unbelievably good. You must visit this place, and just let the kitchen decide what you will eat. Particularly loved the local pork/vinegar sausage. Thank you so much!
