Great traditional food!! Not only expertises in typical Greek cusine but combines it with variable tasty local recipes! Defenitely try "tzolia" and "zygouri"

Pretty nice Greek traditional tavern at the area of Mandra. Very good meat, sausages, liver and starters are seved, as well as wine and beers. Greek music, large indoor seating good for groups, outdoor seating is also available at an area of the square. The service is good.

Food was average, waiter was cocky, half the menu was not available and they served a single bottle of water for 6 people. Probably overrated place, would not visit again.

The place offers traditional greek kitchen roasted meats like lamp, liver, sausage all on the roast. There is a variety of salads and side dishes. It worths visiting the place for a pleasant meal

We went there for lunch 2 weeks ago. We called first to make a reservation for 2 people and a dog. On the phone, they informed us that since we have a dog, we are not allowed to sit inside the restaurant but outside at the smoking area. No problem for us, (in greece we are used to people not treating the pets as a family members) we went there around 17.00 and the tavern was almost empty. We found someone who seemed to be a waiter or the person in charge and asked him to show us where to sit. He told us: normally we do not accept dogs but since you called and they told you on the phone that you can come with the dog, the only place where you can sit, is there (pointing the smoking area). We agreed but he continued: however, if some of the other clients have a problem with your dog - an allergy for instance- then you understand that I can't kick those clients out! (Meaning that he would have to kick us and our dog out!). We confronted him and informed him that the law allows our presence there with the dog and if a client has a problem or an allergy, they are the ones who should leave and sit somewhere else since the place is almost empty. Anyway, he continued saying irrational things and if we weren't really hungry, we would have left. I don't know if this was the personal opinion of this specific person or if it is their policy. In conclusion, we won't eat there again, there are thousands of restaurants which treat our dog as family and I wouldn't not recommend it to anyone who wants to have lunch or dinner with their pets. Apparently, screaming kids are more welcome at this tavern than our furry babies.
