I hope to come back to the island again to continue my Greek learning. Maria is an incredibly nice person to be taught by. The excursions and meetups alone were wonderful.

Maria is a great teacher with a perfect method of teaching Greek, she’s a wonderful person and it’s a pleasure having her as a teacher. After few lessons I already started to be able to use the language for basic things and today I can already understand a lot. I recommend her happily to anyone that is passionate to learn Greek and its culture.

Though still young, she has an enormous amount of experience, having taught for many years. She is encouraging and supportive and tailors each lesson for the student’s specific needs at that time. When possible she even arranges beautiful hikes around Tinos for her students to share in the total experience of the island. I highly recommend studying with Maria at Ellinisti!!

She prepared really helpful exercises for me to complete after each lesson, completely individualised to (a) help me clarify errors I'd made during the lesson, and (b) repeat things from previous lessons to make them stick. She also made copious notes from each lesson so all the material we had covered each time was and is available for me to use. Not only a great teacher but a wonderful person, I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons and absolutely recommend her teaching if you're wondering whether to go ahead!
e	edith.limbeck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a course of five days at Ellinisti in June 2021. I already planned it for last year, but due to Covid I had to cancel my stay in 2020. Since then I was in such a nice contact with Maria, I could´nt wait to start the course this year. And my expectations were even exceeded. Maria is a wonderful teacher and a very lovely person as well – with a great sense of humor. The lessons were such a fun and though very efficient. I really learned a lot, time went by so fast. She and her husband took me also for a walk through old villages on the island, which was a great opportunity to learn something about the history and culture of the island and to get another perspective, apart from the touristic activities. I had a great time and enjoyed their company really very much. I can recommend Ellinisti to everyone at any level, Maria is a very patient, encouraging and empathic teacher. I´m already looking forward to taking further lessons hopefully not too far in the future.

She is always extremely well prepared for every lesson and is incredibly patient in helping with all facets of learning the language and culture. Her knowledge and language skills in English and others such as French are superb. I have been taking lessons on line for one year and I am now fluent in the Greek!! I look forward to watching her YouTube channel! If you have ever thought of learning Greek, Ellinisti is the only Greek word you need to start with!

I am so grateful I found Maria Siampani's Ellinisti School on Tinos. Of course it was amazing to spend time on that beautiful island, but it was even more fun and interesting to put my mind to learning Greek with Maria's help. It is a challenging language, but Maria is a fantastic teacher and I learned so much during my two week course. I still have a long ways to go, but Maria was always patient and explained everything as often as needed, so that I feel I have a good basis for my continuing quest to read and speak Greek! In addition to the classroom work, she organized several wonderful additional activities, including hiking, picking capers, soapmaking, and visiting several villages. It really could not have been a better experience and I highly recommend this course for anyone curious about learning Greek!

With Maria at Ellinisti, I've progressed more in a few short months than I did with any previous instructor. Plus, Maria has a great energy, is always down for a laugh, and offers a sweet treat and coffee with every lesson. We have such a good time during lessons that I (almost) forget how much I hate Greek grammar rules. If you're on Tinos, don't miss the chance to study with Maria :)
