Just like every australian government facility costs a lot of money and doesn't really help anyone, unless you are paying them, like they tell me to go to a greek lawyer because they don't know the laws here ffs... -an aussie who thinks this place is crap don't bother going there

As requested, left a message on the answering machine with my enquiry and they never got back to me. A big thank you to the Australian government for taking good care of its citizens...no further comment as I don't want to become rude.

I had to wait two weeks for an appointment. No parking (I paid 6 euros around the corner for the hour). Very expensive (100 Euros for a witnessed signature and a a certified copy). It will take you 5-10 minutes to get through all the layers of security (Building security will have to record your ID, then the consulate doorman will get your ID and then interrogate about your business here - which I am fairly certain is none of his concern since he has my ID and I am on the appointment list- and then you have to go through the metal detectors).

I had my passport stolen and went to the Australian Embassy in Athens to deal with this problem. I needed a replacement passport within 2 days since I was about to leave Athens. Olga and her supporter in the passport office were extremely helpful and efficient. My replacement passport was ready within 1 day, a truly remarkable effort.

Rude staff on the phone and the next available appointment was in 6 weeks time. Luckily I am a citizen of another country who could organise my Apostille within 24h and send it to me via DHL.
