The Embassy in Athens is open for telephone and email enquiries from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday except for public holidays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to wait two weeks for an appointment. No parking (I paid 6 euros around the corner for the hour). Very expensive (100 Euros for a witnessed signature and a a certified copy). It will take you 5-10 minutes to get through all the layers of security (Building security will have to record your ID, then the consulate doorman will get your ID and then interrogate about your business here - which I am fairly certain is none of his concern since he has my ID and I am on the appointment list- and then you have to go through the metal detectors).

Olga and her supporter in the passport office were extremely helpful and efficient. My replacement passport was ready within 1 day, a truly remarkable effort.

I needed a emergency replacement passport within 1 day since I was about to leave Athens.
