It was a gamble that will be remembered for a long time. We managed to get from the church to the fort in exactly two hours. Well, that was the end of September, and there was no intense heat. We did not find any path. Certainly, quite smooth and clean places came across, but most often the blackthorn blocked the road. They scratched everything that is possible and impossible :) And I had to climb the stones. On the way, they found some remnants of civilization, in the form of ruins of stone walls. We met four turtles, found the shed skin of some kind of snake, a couple of bones and a strange stone well. And on the way back we saw five mountain goats nearby (who strewn the entire surface of the peninsula with their “balls”);) The joy of seeing the fort was consistent with the long journey to it. An attempt to get back in the same way was unsuccessful .. they seemed to come out even longer. And the sun was already hotter. Tips for those gathered. Boots with a strong sole (sneakers are well pierced by thorns). Necessarily trousers from strong fabric. Something with a long sleeve is highly desirable (I wore a T-shirt, and my hands now look like after a fight with a pack of playful kittens). Well, do not forget the water and sandwiches. It’s better to grab a backpack, as it’s best to keep your hands free.
