J	Jon Gardner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esperides was the first restaurant we ate at during our stay due to it's proximity to our hotel. Since then we've tried several other local, and not so local restaurants - but Esperides has so far proved to be our favourite. We were greeted like old friends on arrival, and given our choice of table. As we were early we got the pick, but as the night progressed the tables slowly filled up. We chose a mixed grill for two, which could have easily have fed three, along with a very reasonably priced rose wine, a shared side of garlic bread. Everything was beautifully prepared, and despite not being a particularly Cretan choice of cuisine, felt very authentic. There's free WiFi, but to be honest people watching and chatting with the staff is more than enough entertainment. We plan to eat at Esperides at least twice more before we leave. B	Baylie Denoon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free fresh bread and freshly made tomato dip with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and butter is provided while waiting for the meal. Wonderful selection on the menu. On Saturdays there is a special of lamb in the oven with potatoes and on Wednesdays a lamb casserole. All meals also come with a free dessert of the day which could be cake, ice cream or fruit amongst other things and a free shot of raki. Beautiful little restaurant with lovely staff wonderful food and great service.
E	Ehud Lebel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems to be a family restaurant. We had lunch in a very nice atmosphere and good local food. It was served in a very kind manner so we felt wanted and cared. We had Moussaka, swordfish souvlaki, and some more dishes. Even after many other local places this was really outstanding.
L	Leigh Jones on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First evening meal of my return holiday - warm welcome back from the family. Always great food and a hub of returning patrons, some over many years. Specials are Cretan oven-cooked dishes which are reasonably priced too.

The sauce in this restaurant is out of this world! The portions are very generous so be careful not to over order or you would leave with a very full belly.
