★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for 2 weeks. The location was stunning. However 2 weeks was too long. I would recommend no more than 3 days.
It is at the end of a 2km rough lane and then a 20 minute drive to the nearest town, there is a village closer, but very little in that.
It has a lovely but small pool and nice bar area, albeit very quiet, people stay in their accomodation and we saw hardly anyone about.
Internet access is dire, even up at bar area.
Our Villa was ok. Tired.
One night a group of young men rented the villa next to us and partied until 4:30. The staff did nothing about this. We called the reception but got no response. The following day the staff said they heard the commotion, but did nothing about it.
The view from our balcony was stunning, and sitting at night drinking wine and looking at the stars, listening to the wildlife was very relaxing.
There is no local information in English.
We would recommend it as a place for 2 or 3 days as part of a tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place for a relax vacation,people are nice ,view is amazing,comfortable and clean room with full kitchen (which is perfect for me) Georgia being so helpful during my stay,I'm so pleased with this trip by staying here. "5stars is a must. "Although is quite hard to get around without a car,but when you get to gazi then will be easier to get a bus around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Obviously the best place to stay in all Crete. You will be welcome by Georgia and Emmanuel, two very nice people that will make your trip an unforgettable event! The staff is absolutely kind to you and are always looking for the best to you. More than a recommendation, it is a must to stay in here! Ps:the cooking is incredible!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my wife spent our vacation here this year. While writing this review we are on our last day here.
The Estate Kares is not far from Heraklion airport. Directions to the Esyate are easy to follow. The dirt road to the Estate is a bit tricky though. City Hall do something about it ! ? So renting a car is a must. But if you want to see most of the Island you'll have one anyway.
On our day of arrival we got a warm welcome from the Owner, Manuel and his hostess Georgia. She is a delight and super friendly.
Manuel and Georgia made sure our stay felt like coming home. Did I mention she is a good cook ? Well she is.
Anyway, we had a blast in this small scale resort with a breathtaking view. It's is not your typical all inclusive hotel. Best part is you eat what Cretan people eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite hard to get here the first time, but apart from that - an amazing place. Definitely need to have a car to reach it.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Pool was nice. Plenty of beds for sun bathing. The views from the room were amazing. Food was quite tasty. Everyone around was very friendly. Clean and nice environment for any sort of holidays.
Georgia was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome. When you come here ask for "Georgia's coffee" - you won't be disappointed!
We are definitely coming back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a brilliant stay Georgia is an amazing host and a great cook. We really enjoyed the food and appreciated getting to try local food we otherwise wouldn't of experienced. To people worried about the track it is fine just go steady in the car nothing to worry about. Beautiful scenery so peaceful a great place to relax. Jacuzzi bath is good especially after taking a long walk exploring the area. We will definitely be back :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience with probably the best host ever. A very unique and scenic place near Heraklion city, filled with green. The houses are very economical, fully equipped and cleaned. You can have long riverside walks, visit the endless orange tree fields or even take a horse ride.
