★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view as well as the lodge itself were both worth our time.
Welcoming staff, with a very laid back attitude, and available at any time of day (within logical boundaries of course).
Bare in mind that the lodge is located (as most of the houses on the island) on a hill, which means you'd either have to walk up ~70 steps to get there or take a taxi through alleys.
However, our room, had a minor ants' problem, where they'd just pop up around the windows 24/7. Not too frustrated about it, since they're harmless.
I definitely suggest you take an extra soap with you from there, it's olive oil based, smells fantastic and gives a nice feel to the skin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was perfect. The room was clean the service was excellent and the staff was really helpful.The owner was always willing to answer our questions and offer alternative suggestions. Last but not least, the location was ideal as it is in the centre of Ermoupolis and easily accessible. We enjoyed our stay in a covid-safe environment!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel surpassed our expectations!!!!! It was even better in reality!!! We stayed 5 nights and it was "a dream holiday". George, the owner, offered us local delicacies and wine, helped us with great suggestions on local restaurants and bistros. We had the best sleep in ages, great beds and mattresses, the room was perfectly cleaned daily, spacious, cozy decor, but what was unbeatable was the magnificent view of all the city's great places and the sea view!!! We had lovely evenings with a glass of wine in our balcony. The ground floor terrace was a great, lovely big yard and we had an excellent breakfast. It was great value for money and it is fully recommended. We loved Syros and we will come again, enjoying this great place. Ethrion has become our favorite memory of this spring holiday. Thank you George!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upon arrival, the owner's son Dimitri, greeted me with a bottle of cold water. Then his extremely kind father and owner of the hotel, George, sat me down and explained all the hot spots to visit. The room is extremely well sized and spotless and beautiful. In other words, perfect. The location is fantastic and very close to everything. I made some mistakes with my booking, but the owner George was extremely helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The breakfast is one of the most delicious filling breakfasts i have ever had! Very very worth it. Thank you for such a warm welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a double room with a sea view. Good sized clean room with a large closet, long table with drawers, refrigerator and coffee maker. The air conditioning cooled the room nicely. The bathroom was large and the shower had a modern shower head. The balcony had a table with two chairs and a great view of the sea and the mountainside. The neighborhood is safe and quiet of traffic.
Itʼs a 5-minute walk to the seaside restaurants via a lot of steps. If the steps are challenging itʼs a quick taxi ride. Hint: set the Maps app to “drive” instead of “walk” and follow the path. Itʼs a fairly nice uphill walk.
Mr. George is a very hospitable host and shares his knowledge of the island. He is eager to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one. Ioanna cooks an amazing breakfast if you choose; be sure to request breakfast when booking your room. Katina is quick and thorough to clean the rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location of Ethrion Hotel in Hermoupolis is the best !!!
Close to the port, shops and restaurants and at the same time is in quiet district which is great for a bit noisy city center.
One more benefit - wonderful view from the room balcony to panorama of Hermopoulis city - and the most beautiful Church of Agios Nikolaos is just in a front as well as main square and Town Hall.
The owner is very friendful person, ready to answer all the questions and explain everything about his favorite city.
In total - Ethrion hotel is quiet, cozy and very nice place to stay in this city!
