The weather was not our friend that day, about 6C/43F, rainy and cloudy, but Eddie made the experience fun, with his detailed experience and encyclopedic knowledge of Cretan history and life. It made what would have been an underwhelming experience with a lesser guide fun and involved. I recommend the tour, and certainly Eddie.

We had a brilliant day out with Eddie, enjoying Zeus cave, the windmills and Olive Oil factories and lots of stops in between to pick some fresh strawberries and have a delicious authentic Cretian lunch. Eddie was a brilliant, accommodating tour guide, full of local knowledge and a great sense of humour. Would thoroughly recommend!

A private tour of Crete with Eddie @explorerealcrete ??? We stopped in a #local Olive Oil factory to learn/taste the Greeks’ BEST olive oil they make with all the delicious ? they grow here. We drove up the mountains ? & experienced the prettiest views of Elounda Bay, the islands & toured local villages such as Krasi! Our tour guide Eddie became our friend, while telling us all about Crete history & Greek mythology, climbing trees ? for walnuts, figs, pomegranates, apples ? & taking us to pick THE MOST DELICIOUS produce like grapes ?, strawberries ?, & my all time fave TOMATOES ? ??? ?. (I ?? & these are the best I’ve ever tasted..) We finished the day with dinner at a local family taverna and had traditional Cretan food. It was suchhhhhh a good time & an experience we’ll never forget ☺️? #blessed

His wicked sense of humour combined with his in depth knowledge of all things Greek made this honestly one of the best tours I've had. We were wined, dined, stuffed full of anything we could pick off a vine, and taken to some of the most beautiful views in Crete. Can't stress enough our recommendation. Thank you Eddie, you've been fantastic ?

Out of our one week stay on Crete, it was definitely the best day of our vacation. Eddie picked us up at 8.30AM and till the evening we saw so many pearls of the cretean nature, we hiked the both ways of the Gorge (up and down), we visited a monastary, Sisi village and were so warmly welcomed in the greek traditional restaurant on the way home! Eddie planned all the day for us with his great talent of the guide. We travel a lot but had never been involved in such joyful, dynamic, tasty, informative, humorous tours like Eddie ran for us. Recommend to book with Eddie from all my heart ?

Booked it but then covid happened , got a refund then thank goodness this trip was still available in 2022 . I had read lots about Eddie , all fabulous reviews but i can truly say that Eddie and his wonderful trip surpassed all i had read previously !!! The trip is fantastic seeing the Real Crete in it’s true glory up in the mountains and villages , picking strawberries ( the best we have tasted ) and cherries . Seeing the bountiful fruit and veg growing . Identifying many trees and their produce . Discovering how Olives are processed from tree to oil from past to present from the millions of trees on this beautiful Island .Finishing this all off at a traditional taverna belonging to friends of Eddie for the best meal ! All fantastic , but it is Eddie homself that makes it all so SPECIAL ! A lovely , happy , friendly , kind and generous man with a wonderful passion and knowledge of his homeland . We made a friend !!! He goes above and beyond and even gaves us a very helpful lift to Iraklio the next day Eddie is th Best . Thankyou
L	Leslie Sworsky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Four of us were on an NCL cruise of the Greek Isles and toured Crete with Eddie for the day. We had a great time! Eddie was very responsive to all emails and questions. We chose to visit the Palace of Knossos (Minoan ruins) as well as the affiliated museum, and Eddie found us a guide for those two sites (he does not guide at either one). We said goodbye to our Knossos guide, and then Eddie took us to an olive oil factory and then a neat little village for lunch. The food, wine, and service were wonderful! Eddie stays and has lunch with you which I think is nice (many times guides will leave you on your own for meals). He is a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. We sang with him all the way back to our cruise ship!! If you behave, you might even get a gift from him at the end of your tour. Thank you, Eddie, for a wonderful day in Crete!

It was by far the best tour we took so far! Eddie is a natural entertainer, a passionate tour guide, a great human overall. It is impossible to not get to love him by the end of the tour. We booked a tour, we gained a friend and many wonderful memories. As a bonus, the lunch was delicious! This tour was worth every penny!
