Great view point but the lighthouse is covered in graffiti.

Very nice view, peaceful atmosphere. However no English plates whatsoever so unless you Google its history or ask someone local, you won't know what is it exactly or how it was built. Also, the walls are dirty, it could definitely deal with a little bit more care, such as a touch up painting, or clean up of rubbish around. Overall a nice experience, good to sit down and spend there a little time.

Not really sight to be a must visit. Lighthouse is full of graphites and a bit dirty.

Certainly a beautiful place to spend ten minutes if you are located nearby on your trip, but not worth travelling across the island for, maybe before dinner locally?

This lighthouse was originally built by the British destroyed by the 1953 earthquake and rebuilt by a well known Greek gentleman, we walked down the fanari road so as to see Italian war monument but that on a very hot day was one step to far

Nice to visit this beautifull place, but not really a must. The lighthouse itself is made in venetian style, and it would look more appealing without all kind of graffiti from the walls. Honestly, I think the local authorities should make more to preserve this place untouched by the tourist's "talent".

Stunning place to watch the world go by. I got engaged whist the sun set at Fanari lighthouse and it's a picturesque spot both for the lighthouse itself and the view over to Lixuri and the surrounding bay. It gets quite windy late afternoon and evening (my shades were blown into the water when I got down on one knee to propose) so worth taking something warmish. It can also be quite busy at sunset during peak season (mid-July- end of August) with people taking photos so check the time of sunset and get there early so you can line up your shots in good time. It's a little bit of a shame that the lighthouse has some grafetti on it and isn't kept in the best condition but either way great place to enjoy even during the daytime when it's a bit quieter.
