To tu ma początek słynny "uskok Parnitha", który jest odpowiedzialny za tragiczne w skutkach dla ateńskiej metropolii, trzęsienie ziemi z 7 września 1999 roku. Oraz kilka trzęsień z wcześniejszych wieków przypisuje się jako wynik aktywności uskoku. Biegnie dalej przez klasztor św. Cypriana, Ano Liosia i kończy się pod Acharny.
Długość uskoku szacowana jest na ok. 15 km oraz 15 km głębokość.

This is where the famous "Parnithic Fault" begins, which is responsible for the tragic consequences for the metropolis of Athens, the earthquake of September 7, 1999. And several quakes from earlier centuries are credited with fault activity. It continues through the Monastery of St. Cyprian, Ano Liosia and ends at Acharna.
The fault length is estimated at approx. 15 km and the depth is 15 km.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πολύ όμορφα! Επιβλητικό και πανέμορφο. Πολύ εύκολη διαδρομή μόλις 3 με 4 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το σημείο που (αναγκαστικά) αφήνεις το αμάξι. Παρά πολλές διαδρομές για πεζοπορία και πολλά σημεία αναρρίχησης.
Very beautiful! Imposing and beautiful. Very easy journey just 3 to 4 minutes walk from the point where you (necessarily) leave the car. Despite many hiking trails and many climbing spots.
