★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only forest around the heraklion city. Small but better than nothing. You may find many places to relax and have fun. Easy drive dirt road (ideal for mountain bikes), at the end you can see a spectacular view of heraklion from 300m high.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place ia really nice to walk alone with company, with dogs or just to do your trail running.
You can go in with your car, the road is not perfect but you can go with low car in.
If you walk South you will reach the end of the "plateau" fast, there you can watch heraklion from the top! The view is unique and the photos from there as well!
Never put fire and please don't let plastics!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite places close to the city of Heraklion. It's easy accessable with a normal car (no need for 4x4) and is the perfect place for family picnics, walking, mountain biking or trail running.
Last time we went in the afternoon and we saw a flock of sheep strolling by so please keep your dogs leashed so all animals can enjoy the forest in peace.
