Such a beautiful pool and even better view of the sea and the mountains! We were lucky enough to meet Sophia and family! Cannot recommend more highly!

Having a car is indeed necessary but everything (shops, super markets, tavernas, beach) is within reach (5-10 min away) since Atsipopoulo, a nearby village, very close. Being well situated, close to the main road and the town of Rethymno, allows you go to beautiful beaches and sighteeings with minimum effort too! Sophia and her whole family are great and would I highly recommend it.

Villa Asterion is well equipped and cozy with a private pool- very nice! The communication with Sophia was great- she was very kind and helpful. There were even mousaka and eggs from their farm! I recommend Forest Villas to everyone visiting Crete!

You get a taste of living in the countryside, as well as living amongst the locals, and then you're only a 10-minute drive to Rethymon where there's many restaurants and shops. You also have total privacy. Now for the negative aspects: 1). There is major ant infestation problem in the villa, which renders the kitchen unusable. 2). The mattresses are extremely outdated. There's no padding, and you can feel the springs digging-in to your body. 3). There's no overhead showers, only handheld devices. 4). The first-floor bathroom has a toilet leak, leaving constant water on the floor. 5). The host Sophia's communication was practically non-existent, beginning from the time that we paid online four-months in advance for the stay, throughout our stay.

Biscuits, olive oil, even a home made moussaka. Great service by Sophia. I suggest more strongly that this house very well located for visiting Crete.

Villa Sarpedon is beautiful and new, and nicely located (a car is a must but beaches, restaurants, supermarkets and Rethymno are within a 10 min drive). All of us loved it! The pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate. The communication with Sophia was perfect, she and her brother made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed every minute! We will be coming back.

We received home made moussaka, raki and eggs from their farm as a welcome gift. The villa itself was very clean, equipped with all essentials and is cleaned at least once a week (new linen and towels). The location is perfect to discover the island. The villa is located on a hill - with a great view of the sea. It was perfect and we are going to miss the sound of the crickets, the goats with their bells, the very quiet evenings with the beautiful sunsets, the mixed scents of country side, woodlands, herbs and the sea. And we are going to miss the contact with Sophia and her family. We would love to come back again!
D	Diman Karagiozov on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I DO recommend the villa because: - it feels remote - quite accessible but still you have a great of a privacy - communication with Sofia was flawless and very timely. She anwered every question and explained everything. Thank you Sofia - outstanding hospitality - we've been welcomed with fruits, sweets, wine and raki :) In a couple of days Vangelis brought us a big plate of delicious moussaka! - location - great view, real privacy. Rethymno is a little bit away from the nice beaches around and beyond Chania, but still the location is perfect! - kitchen - well equipped, we had everything we needed - bathrooms - very clean, hot water from solar power and backup from the grid! - bedrooms - comfy beds, clean sheets, very quite - pool area and the patio - our favourite area to relax and enjoy :) Sofia, thanks again for the hospitality. We are going to recommend your villas to our friends!
