Horrible business practice. Should’ve read all the other reviews. Incredibly overpriced

Good ice cream with a milky taste. For example, the strawberry ice cream tastes more like strawberry milkshake. Very good service and polite staff.

This is the only bad experience we had on the very friendly island of Naxos. We arrived with half an hour to spare before a bus trip - enough, perhaps, to drink some water and eat a few scoops of ice cream. I explained this carefully to the waiter and asked whether we had enough time. Despite there being three staff members and perhaps 10 clients, with most just having some drinks or ice cream, service was very slow. I went inside the café three times from our table to ask whether our order was coming, whether we should just cancel it, and whether we could pay. Each time I was rebuffed by the waiter. Finally, our ice cream came too late for us to eat it. The bill, for two bottles of water and four scoops of ice cream, was €19.50, which would be expensive in central Paris or London, never mind Naxos. There are, as other posters have said, no prices on the menu. The ice cream, of which I had a taste before we left for the bus, was creamy but with a flat, very mild flavour. It was not a premium ice cream. Moreover, when we ordered ‘two scoops of vanilla’ and the same of ice cream, the waiter interpreted that as an order for four bowls of ice cream, which happened to cost €2.50 each. In fairness, as we were running for our bus, the waiter offered the café’s apologies and gave us €5 back. This was a needlessly aggravating interaction on an island where people are otherwise universally friendly, very professional and very engaging, and the food (and particularly dairy!) is absolutely incredible.

Just stay away unless you have an hour+!! We ordered three crepes, fruit salad and one waffle...it took over 40’ for the first item to arrive and then 5-7’ for subsequent items. It all should have done it at the same time like normal. Real strange service. The food was good but hard to enjoy when your party is finished before the next plate comes out. Odd and not like anything I’ve seen in Greece! And I’m Greek! Skip this place and stroll down a bit down the ally for anything else. No remorse. No care.

We enjoyed coffees at Four Tastes while visiting Chalki. It’s very nice and relaxing sitting in the small village square.

Came across this place and the little square where it is located in the middle of the town. Great service and amazing lemonade. Coffee was alright. 4 euros each. Recommended for a break

Try the crepe and frappe. It was fantastic and the waiter was amazing. The view of the bougainvillea tree is the best. Don’t miss this little stop in Halki!
