About FREEDIVE GREECE
The FREEDIVE GREECE Certification Academy and guided trips group is based in Athens, Greece. Our aim is to provide high quality training and educational services to freedivers and spearos around the world! We also offer water-based adventures and tailor-made experiences for international visitors coming to Greece.
FREEDIVE GREECE grew out of the passion of a few avid Champions, Freediving and Spearfishing Instructors, who are intent on making it possible for anyone to learn how to freedive and spearfish.

The FREEDIVE GREECE Academy is open to all levels of freedivers and spearos, from beginners to advanced level divers!
Training sessions can be arranged upon request for group courses or specialized private training sessions. We cover everything from competitive deep freediving and spearfishing, advanced equalization techniques, electronic device and sonar applications, variable weight use and more, aiming to cover every need of the modern freediver or spearo who wants to advance in this sport.
In addition to all our existing freediving educational programs, in the FREEDIVE GREECE Alpha-Omega system, most of the teaching and training is open water oriented. We emphasize real-time and live conditions on boats, all in the framework of safety thanks to our recently developed protocols.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I completed the freedive certification level 2 together with my instructor Manolis Giankos a few days ago. Before I started the certification I was already on a medium level and was able to dive up to 30 meters. The course gave me a big boost in both my theoretical and practical/technique levels, and helped me drastically on diving with easy and much safer. Giankos is an excellent coach and I feel extremely lucky I had the chance to dive with him. He helped me improve my equalization technique, my fining and duck dive style, taught me how to prepare and warm up, what to look out for, what to do/not do etc. I definitely recommend taking your freedive certification with Freedive Greece whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced athlete - you will definitely learn something new!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a candidate of the workshop of Freediving course this July. Since i already knew the people behind the project of Freedive Greece my expectations were high. I also considered my self some kind of an experience free diver or at least that I had some short of acknowledgment about the wet habitat. My perception about my knowledges changed 100%.
What was delivered from the school during this amazing week was much much higher than my expectations. Seeing my coaches to be so comprehensive, explanatory and passionate about what they do. Getting to truly understand and acknowledge how my body and mind should work and are designed to work underwater. Understanding the importance of safety and at the same time, feeling truly safe through the knowledge you get was a total new experience for me but also a game changer for my future in Free diving.
All in all
1) My target was to be taught by specialists with knowledge and love for what they do. Target smashed!
2) My goal was to understand how should i use my body and its "weapons" in order to dive better and safer. Goal achieved!
3) Last but not least, to be part of a team who can help me grow in what i love the most. Free diving :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ FREEDIVE GREECE has a great team of people running the course. The instructors were all highly knowledgeable, understanding and patient. They cared for each of the students’ progress with real interest, without putting any unnecessary pressure on us. Communication in regards to scheduling classes was easy and flexible, taking into account the restrictions of every student.
To me safety is of outmost importance, and the FREEDIVE GREECE team made me feel safe even before the open water sessions, and this is one of the reasons I think every beginner should work with them.
