Had a very pleasant trip to Temple of Poseidon. Pick-up at the hotel was in time and the trip to the Temple was scenic and nicely guided. Our guide was a nice lady, clearly and professionally explained the views, history, architecture, etc. The tour was well scheduled, giving appropriate time to walk around , take pictures and for a coffee stop. Again, our guide kept well the timing and I liked the way she delivered the information. I say this because many times guides are giving too much info..

Amazing 5 day tour from Athens. We were apprehensive having seen other reviews on here but needn't have been. The one criticism was that the GO Tours bus terminal was not well highlighted on the paperwork and was merely a street corner but a reccy the night before meant we knew where we headed to. Our first tour guide was a lady conducting the tour in English and French. She was very engaging and knowledgeable and she demonstrated the acoustics well at the theatre of epidaurus. We continued to Nafplion and left the tour to overnight at out leisure in the ancient city. The next day we were collected by those on the 4 day tour and our new Guide George conducting the tour in English and Italian. We visited Olympia Delphi and Mateora. George was a fountain of knowledge and had an amazing quick wit. He managed to include our 2 kids in his presentation and made it equally as engaging for them as it was for us. My 7 year old daughter became his shadow! If the kids retain just 10% of what they were told then George has taught them more in the last few days than a year of school history lessons. Ok now to the hotels..we took the 3 star option as we wanted clean serviceable hotels with a bathroom and decent location. This is what we got. No spa hotels and no gourmet food. The meals were edible but not high quality but again this was not the purpose of our trip..same for the lunch venues which managed to serve feed and dispatch 40 odd coach travellers every half an hour. That being said the lunch stop in Olympia was nice with the added bonus of owning some Olympic torches and we got a 12 euro steak and chips at the stop in Delphi! We also went on the scout for icecream for the kids in Meteora and topped ourselves up with a 3 euro Gyros as the hotel buffet was a bit past its best. The kids thought the dip in the pool made up for it though! I would definitely recommend this 4/5 day tour. And if you can ask for George then do !!

I had booked a 1/2 day sightseeing tour of Athens starting at 10h30. The guide Matthew was okayish, spoke English, French and Greek fluently. Everything went well until it was time to go up the Acropolis; because my hubby and I had walked so much the first 3 days we were in Athens, we decided not to walk up because of painful hips, feet and legs. We told the guide as much who said we could wait across the street by the parking where there was a restaurant. Because of all the buses parked there and due to their height we never saw the restaurant and went left to go have a snack. Before we left the guide we asked him to give us an approx meeting time and said he never gives time, that we must just wait. Well, we cannot possibly believe that he didn't know how long they would be when he runs this tour everyday. To cut a long story short, they left without us but with our 2 backpacks with cash, passport and ID books. We were livid. Thank God a good samaritan from a souvenir shop allowed us to use their phone for free to call our travel agent to ask them to call G.O Tours to find out where our bags were. We had to walk for more than 30 minutes to go to their offices to collect our backpacks where there was a screaming match. So there you go !!! Never again xxxx

Please do not book with this tour company. They are a rip off, rude and don't care how you get back to your hotel. We book a guided day tour in Athens and it was a rip off for the price. They took us to one museum and the ruins and most incredibly they are only concern about taking you but don't give a damn how you get back to your hotel. When we finished the tour we were told to take another bus, the driver of that bus didn't want to take us back because he was questioning our hotel like we were lying. They then took us and drop us off at some stop and told us to wait there for one and a half hour before a pickup to our hotel. Our first day in Greece and we were stranded in the middle of no where. We ended up taking a taxi for an additional cost of 30 Euros. We traveled a lot and this is the worse tour we ever booked. I do not recommend this company.

Did a 2 day tour of Delphi-meteora. The tour guide was great but how everything is organized is terrible. I had the same experience others have mentioned the tour was in two languages which was not specified when we booked. They also stop at remote places and tourists traps with over priced food so you are forced to eat there. The hotels they have you stay at are also terrible whether you booked first class or not. Be careful when booking with Viator or Fantasy Travel as they will not tell you that you are booking with G.O. Tour I would avoid at all costs.

Tour is ok. Delphi day trip: Picked up in front of hotel at time quoted. We took a small ride to get more people. Then we arrived in an area where we were told to board a different bus depending on the tour we picked. Final bus was a large coach and was very new. Bus was completely packed! Guide was nice, but not overly friendly. He didn't engage with the bus and always talked with his back turned. But he talked a lot and gave a lot of info! We stopped 2 hours in at a tourist only cafe. Yes over priced and tourist focused for bus tours. Since tour starts at 7:30am many people got coffee. Good tour of Delphi and the museum. After we had a couple who had issues connecting to next tour so we had to wait. Then a short drive to stop at a carpet store. Goods were pushed on us and I was chased down the street when I walked out. Met bus at 7:30am and didn't get home until 7:30pm. Most people slept on the ride home. A tour of Delphi is recommended as many of the sites are not labeled. And having a guide at the museum was a bonus.

We did the 2-day Delphi/Meteora tour and booked through a 3rd party (recommend). Booking went smoothly even after making a last minute change due to missing a flight. Loved the sites and our guide & driver were both excellent. Only complaints: The restaurant they stopped at for lunch on the second day was ABYSMAL. Terrible food at premium top dollar prices. That experience alone really made the rest of the day unpleasant. Additionally, the bus seats are very small and cramped for tall people like us. It would have been nice to have been given one of the more roomy seats considering we were almost a foot taller than the rest of the tour group, but oh well.

I subscribe what other people state: to much time is spent on sideshows. Because of that we had to visit Delphi in a hurry. The guide didn't care to wait five minutes and transferred to the museum when the group was not even complete. Our company and two other people, six of the thirty, missed out on the museum because of this choice.
