★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been stopping at Gallios Ceramic Art Shop every year for at least 12 years (except June 2020 as we were forced to cancel our trip to Crete due to the pandemic). But this year we were able to did it!
We always have a wonderful and friendly welcome from Konstantinos and his very lovely daughter Maria. But this year we haven't seen Maria, but we are very happy to know that she has found a job in Heraklion.
We love the spirit of this beautiful family and everything they create with their hands. Every time we stop by their workshop, we buy something very beautiful that we use in our home in France. And at home, whenever we use a dish, a plate, a jug, a pot or whatever we have bought in this very beautiful shop, be sure, Konstantinos and Maria, that we are thinking of you. Maria also makes very light and extremely fine pottery lace, very elegant but so delicate that we dare not bring them back to France even in our hand luggage.
The other regret we have is not being able to bring back to France large and wonderful pieces of ceramics made by Konstantinos like the beautiful sinks he makes with his hands!
Konstantinos and Maria, we wish you the best, you so deserve it!
