Wir haben uns für 7 Tage einen Susuki Jimny gemietet. Durch einen Fehler meinerseits, war bei Ankunft des Flugzeugs das Auto nicht am Flughafen. Ein kurzer Anruf bei Garofalis und keine 15 Minuten später hat man uns den Wagen gebracht. Er hatte zwar einige Dellen und Macken, was aber nicht weiter schlimm war. Wir wurden auf alle Schäden hingewiesen und es wurde alles Dokumentiert. Der wagen hat uns über jede noch so holperigere Straße sicher ans Ziel gebracht. Die Rückgabe verlief genauso unkompliziert wie die Abholung. Es wurde nur nachgesehen ob die Tankfüllung stimmt (viertelvoll gebracht, und genauso wieder abgegeben) und das war es auch schon. Diese Vermietung können wir nur empfehlen und wenn wir wieder auf Lemnos sind, werden wir wieder bei ihm mieten. Der Preis hat gestimmt und alles andere auch! Alle großen Vermieter die man im Internet über Suchportale findet, haben überzogene Preise.

I rented a 50 cc scooter for 3 days, I think it was Kymco Agility (it has a more sporty look than Kymco People depicted on the website). General remark: if your driving license allows you to do so, go for a 125 cc vehicle, because on steep hills of Lemnos a 50 cc scooter can slow down from the maximal speed of 45 km/h down to 15 km/h. Sometimes I even asked my passenger to get off. The contract includes third party liability insurance, but not the comprehensive cover. As for the pros, the scooter was very conveniently delivered to and picked up from my places of stay. I initially intended to rent one day later but changed my plans and eventually got the vehicle in less than 4 hours from my phone call. The young man who actually served us was nice and easygoing and speaks good English. He explained everything to me. It is not a big issue and likely the fault of the previous renter, but the scooter did not come with a full fuel tank. I fueled twice: in the course of the rent and at the end. Despite using the scooter more before the second fueling, I had to fuel less. As the rentor admitted, the fuel gauge does not work perfectly, so it may seem full even if it is not. The trunk certainly cannot fit two helmets (not sure about one), so it would have been nice to obtain a lock for them. The helmets looked reliably and clean; mine fitted perfectly. Unfortunately, my overall positive impression (based also on an earlier apartment rental) was spoiled towards the end of the rental. I sent a message to the owner requesting a delay of the return time by one hour (still within 3 days window from the beginning of my rental) and asking if he can give us a lift to the airport (it is more than 10 km, so of course I expected to be additionally charged for it), but he did not reply. Instead, the next morning he encountered a lady accompanying me (he happened to be in the same restaurant) and impolitely rejected both of my requests and even demanded a return two hours earlier than initially agreed. Some ten minutes later he admitted that he had confused some messages, and eventually gladly complied with the delay of the return, but if he had had any issues with my message, he should have texted/talked to me rather than being impolite to a woman.

Rented a Duster for 8 days while on the Island. No one From the company was there on pickup but the car was in the parking lot with keys on. The car was in great shape but with only 1/4 tanks. For the return no problem they came in person very fast... only to fight to surcharge us for « scratches » that « were not there before » (of course, no previous damage report for the car...). They also didn’t deduct the extra gas in the tank when we gave it back (twice as much as when we took it). So be careful and make sure to take photos of what you are renting before leaving...
