Ο σύλλογος έχει αναλάβει τη φροντίδα παρόμοιων νεκροταφείων σε όλο τον κόσμο. An excellent monument to World War II. Spatial planning and cleaning model for a cemetery. The cemetery houses the graves of 9,973 German soldiers in three different locations. The Cemetery was founded on September 28, 1975 and German soldiers were buried in this area from all over Greece. The cemetery is being cared for by the German War Tomb Care Association, a private association based in Kassel, by order of the German government. The association has taken care of similar cemeteries around the world.

Όμορφα λουλούδια και δένδρα περιβάλλουν το νεκροταφείο που αν δεν υπήρχαν μαρμάρινες πλάκες με τα ονόματα των πεσόντων Γερμανών δεν καταλαβαίνεις που είσαι πραγματικά. Από αυτό το σημείο ξεκινούν πολλά μονοπάτια για πεζοπορία μέσα στη φύση. A place of reflection and tranquility. I was surprised by the order and cleanliness that exists. Beautiful flowers and trees surround the cemetery that if there were no marble slabs with the names of the fallen Germans you will not understand where you really are. From this point start many hiking trails in nature.

Βρίσκεται σε σημείο που αρχικά ήταν αρκετά απομονωμένο, στη βόρεια πλευρά της Πεντέλης, στο Διόνυσο, κοντά στην Ραπεντώσα. The German Military Cemetery of Dionysos - Rapendos 1939-1945 (Deutscher Soldatenfriedhof 1939-1945 Dionyssos - Rapendoza) is one of the two cemeteries in which the tombs of German soldiers who died in Greece during the Second World War are found. The other cemetery is the German military cemetery in Maleme, Crete. It is located at a point that was initially quite isolated, on the northern side of Penteli, in Dionysos, near Rapendosa. In this cemetery there are the tombs of 9,973 soldiers of the German Army in three different places. The Cemetery was founded on September 28, 1975, and German soldiers from all parts of Greece were buried there. Care of the cemetery is done by the German War Thousands Warfare Association, a private club based in Kassel, under the German Government's mandate. The club has taken care of similar cemeteries all over the world.

Από τη μία η θέση είναι υπέροχη με θέα και έντονο φυσικό κάλος, το νεκροταφείο είναι σπουδαίας αισθητικής και τυχαίνει άψογης συντήρησης (φαντάζομαι αν και δεν είδα απολύτως κανένα εκεί) που το διατηρεί πεντακάθαρο, από την άλλη προφανώς μας θυμίζει μερικές από τις χειρότερες στιγμές της ιστορίας. Ακόμη και η μεταλλική πόρτα της εισόδου κάνει ένα ήχο σαν πένθιμη καμπάνα όταν ανοίγεις/κλείνεις το μάνταλο. Ο στύλος με τις πινακίδες των Ευρωπαϊκών πρωτευουσών και των αντίστοιχων αποστάσεων πραγματικά συμβάλει πέρα από το αισθητικό και στον προβληματισμό των επισκεπτών, όσων τουλάχιστον έχουν ακόμη αρκετά ζωντανά εγκεφαλικά κύτταρα. Impressive space that gives contradictory emotions. On the one hand the place is wonderful with a view and intense natural beauty, the cemetery is of great aesthetics and has perfect maintenance (I imagine although I did not see anyone there) which keeps it spotless, on the other hand it obviously reminds us of some of its worst moments history. Even the metal front door sounds like a mourning bell when you open / close the latch. The pillar with the signs of the European capitals and the corresponding distances really contributes beyond the aesthetics and to the reflection of the visitors, who at least still have enough living brain cells.
