Go Active Tours, Metsovo - Metsovo

If you like to stroll around the beautiful mountains, see breathtaking views, bike on paths without any tourist around you or like to swim or paddle in the clear and lonely springwaters of the Aoos lake, call Lefteris and Viola!! They are from Metsovo and know the area better than anyone else. Moreover they have a professional sports background, e.g. being part of the Olympic games (cross country skiing). Viola even won a golden medal in Salt Lake City 2002! We had the luck to make a wonderful hiking tour of around 3 hours with both of them and Vivi, a forthcoming Phd in Medicins form Athens. A nice group and good entertaining. We did a part of the so called URSA-trail, which trail will also be part of the forthcoming Epirus trail, one of the largest hiking trails in Europe. However, the URSA trail was awarded in 2016 the "Leading Quality Trails - Best of Europe Certification by the European Ramblers' Association, establishing Metsovo as one of the leading hiking destinations in Europe!! Well, I would certainly associate this achievement and acknowledgement with the professional and passionate guidance by Lefteris and Viola. They can tell you so much about the wildlife and the way of living in the area; no, they will make you part it! We were on the top of the mountain and next we had the chance to be in the middle of cows, goats and wild horses. In a short break they even offered us a small bite to eat. Afterwards we had a nice drink guided by some local snacks in the Country Cafe, a nice and quiet place to 'review' all your adventures. And, apart from their love for sports and nature, they also like good food, so let you advice yourself about the local food tips and discover some delicious mouthwatering (or mouthwining) experiences when the moon has taken over from the sun in "Galaxy" or "To Arxontiko"...... You will leave with beautifull pictures and memories. Viola and Lefteris, thank you very much for one of the most beautiful experiences in our holidays. Hope we will meet again sometimes, somewhere...... Till than, enjoy and take care.....!

We had a great week in beautiful Metsovo with Lefteris from GoActive-Tours as our guide! We enjoyed amazing Aoos-Lake with the SUP, had an adventurous canyoning-tour and Lefteris gave us a lot of tips to discover Metsovo and surroundings with it's beauty, nature as well as cuisine! :) Highly recommended!

One of the many activities with Go Active is certainly one of the best things to do while in Metsovo! The activities itself are well worth the trip to that part of Greece! We originally did the eBikes around the lake and it compares to the experiences you can have in Canada or the Alps. Its absolutely beautiful! We also did a number of hikes to some of the most beautiful peaks in the area as well as paddle boarding in the lake. If you enjoy mountain biking, Lefteris could tailor the trip to your experiences which enables you to see places that would otherwise take much longer just hiking. Even if you go for a week, there will be a different activity to do every day with him! I can't recommend Go Active more and the best guide I've ever had in the montain! I can't wait to be back for more adventures in the mountain!

TOP tour agency! We did an e-biking tour around the lake and this was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday. This activity is a hidden gem. Impressive scenery, bikes in top condition and really easy and light to handle. Viola and Lefteris are amazing and professional hosts and made sure we had a great time. 200% recommended!

Lefteris guided us in three tours and gave us great advice for the area. He knows everything about Metsovo and the surrounding area. We went SUP at a beautiful, peaceful lake and did a e-mountain bike tour in this area. The water is so nice and you can go for a swim. Then we also went canyoning and had a great day with a little more adrenaline :) Highly recommended!

Had a solo e-bike outing on a rainy November day around Metsovo. Great landscape and a very positive experience with Go Active - they are well organised and easy going. Easily recommended and I look fwd to come back for more activities!

We did the ebike travel around Aoos lake, it was an amazing adventure. Very beautiful place and riding on the bike all around it was the perfect way to experience it. Lefteris, our guide, was very nice and helpful, always made sure that everything is good. Very recommended.
