★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stumbled into this spot late at night and the place was still packed. The friendly staff soon had us seated with a carafe of wine and a complimentary assortment of tasty mezes before us. The room was full of animated conversation, and we were clearly the only out-of-townerz. (A welcome change of pace in touristy Agios Nikolaos.) The menu is not extensive and there are no frills, but everything was so fresh and flavorful. Great souvlaki. Creamy fava beans. Chouriatiki salad with a garnish of some kind of succulent local wild (?) greens we had never tasted before. Even the fried potatoes in tomato sauce took "French fries" to a whole new level. Can we go back now?

I’m not a big fan of meats but the pork souvlaki was AMAZING. Perfectly cooked, nicely burnt (the right way!), and so fragrant and flavourful.
They give you starters at the beginning, and dessert at the end , and treat you with such warmth throughout that you feel like you are in your friends house.
Simple traditional food done with such care and pride.
I went back the next day after dinner to take-away the halva I had the night before and they gave me a big complimentary box.
Family run - papa does the grills, mama does the cucina and the sons attend to the guests. If I ever am in agios again I will definitely make a stop here.
*food was so good and I was so hungry that there are unfortunately no pictures! But here’s one of that beautiful portion of halva that will last me the next few days.
