★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “Διατηρητέο μνημείο της φύσης” κηρύχθηκε με την υπ. αρ. 200995/7950/1979 απόφαση του Υπουργείου Γεωργίας.
- Μάνα – Ελιά, ένα αγέρωχο ελαιόδεντρο ύψους 14 μέτρων και με περίμετρο κορμού που ανέρχεται γύρω στα 9 μέτρα, στέκει για εκατοντάδες χρόνια στην περιοχή της Καλαμάτας, θυμίζοντας τη στενή σχέση της πόλης με την ελιά.
- Η εκτιμώμενη ηλικία του αειθαλούς δένδρου είναι 800 ετών, ωστόσο η έρευνα του Δρ. δασολόγου Παν. Μπαζίγου, Γεν. Δ/ντή Περιφερείας Πελοποννήσου, που βασίσθηκε στο δείγμα δύο τρυπανιδίων, τα οποία πήρε κατά την αυτοψία που διενήργησε στις 23 Αυγούστου 2001, έδωσε την απίστευτη ηλικία των 1733 χρόνων κατά προσέγγιση. Δηλαδή εν ολίγοις το δένδρο θα πρέπει να φυτεύτηκε περί τον 4ο αι. μ.Χ.!
 "Preserved monument of nature" was proclaimed with sub. No. 200995/7950/1979 decision of the Ministry of Agriculture.
- Mana - Elia, an arrogant olive tree 14 meters high and with a trunk circumference of about 9 meters, stands for hundreds of years in the area of Kalamata, reminiscent of the city's close relationship with the olive tree.
- The estimated age of the evergreen tree is 800 years old, however the research of Dr. Dasologou Pan. Bazigou, General Director of the Peloponnese Region, based on the sample of two drills, which he took during the autopsy he carried out on August 23, 2001, gave the incredible age of 1733 years approximately. That is, in short, the tree should have been planted around the 4th c. A.D.!
