★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place to eat in Gytheio! A little cheaper than other tavernas but delivers perfect fresh food/seafood. The octopus is chewy but thats how we like it. Huge portions. Wine good with ice. We ate here almost every night and it was great. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AMAZING!! we ate there twice and I already wish to repeat it! Sea food insanely fresh, portions so big we couldn't finish and the super polite staff, always smiling or eager to chat. There is no better place to eat in Gythio! ... and the view!! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend recommended Η Τράτα and I am so happy. Right by the water with a beautiful scenery laid out before us. The service was fantastic and so friendly. The food, omg, the food is brilliant. We ordered Mrs. Panayiotis zucchini pie, garden fresh zucchini with loads of dill and local cheese.
The horta was vlitta, a spring wild greens that is rare and of course gorgeous with lots of their own evoo and lemons.
Greek salad and homemade bread, yum. And real home fries.
And a huge platter of fried seafood...all right from the sea beside us, shrimp that is the most tasty I have ever had the pleasure to experience. All types of fish, and calamari. All cooked in their olive oil, in a seasoned dry rub. So, so goooood! And the 2 cats that came by were the most polite creatures:-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family owned restaurant serving fresh fish lots of it brought by their own fishing boat. Friendly efficient service, good prices and very delicious fried Anchoas, sardinas, codfish. What we tried was great we plan to come back. Georgia the manager likes to have the clients happy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners of the place on the corner (prime real estate) are aggressive and if you don't look you might miss this gem. We ate at both places and the quality here is pronounced! They even had cheese pies (homemade of course)!!
