P	Panagiotis Myrelis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Σταθμός Ηράκλειο του μετρό της Αθήνας είναι σταθμός της γραμμής 1. Πήρε το όνομά του από το Δήμο Ηρακλείου, τον οποίο εξυπηρετεί. Εγκαινιάστηκε στις 4 Μαρτίου 1957 και η σημερινή του μορφή ανάγεται στο 2004, όταν και ανακαινίστηκαν (σταδιακά, το 2003 - 2004) όλοι οι σταθμοί της γραμμής 1 εν όψει των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων της Αθήνας. Διαθέτει δύο πλευρικές αποβάθρες και γραμμή εναπόθεσης αμαξοστοιχιών. Ο σταθμός Ηρακλείου υπήρξε από τα εγκαίνιά του μέχρι την επέκταση του δικτύου προς την Κηφισιά, στις 10 Αυγούστου 1957, ο προς βορράν τερματικός σταθμός της γραμμής. Ο σταθμός Ηρακλείου αντικατέστησε τον παλαιό Σιδηροδρομικό Σταθμό Ηρακλείου των Σιδηροδρόμων Αττικής. Κατασκευάστηκε σε χώρο του παλαιού σταθμού και για μικρή χρονική περίοδο το 1957 προσέφερε στους επιβάτες δυνατότητα μετεπιβίβασης μεταξύ της γραμμής των ΕΗΣ και της σιδηροδρομικής γραμμής Λαυρίου - Αγίων Αναργύρων, μέχρι το κλείσιμο της τελευταίας αργότερα το ίδιο έτος. Αρχικά ο σταθμός εξυπηρετούσε τις σιδηροδρομικές γραμμές Αθήνας - Λαυρίου, και Λαυρίου - Στροφυλίου, μέσω των Σιδηροδρόμων Αττικής. Από το 1929 η διακλάδωση του Λαυρίου εκμεταλλευόταν από τον Σιδηρόδρομο Πειραιώς - Αθηνών - Πελοποννήσου. Ο σταθμός έκλεισε το 1938 στη διαδρομή προς τη Κηφισιά, εν αναμονή της ηλεκτροδότησης, αλλά παρέμεινε ανοικτός για τα τρένα που κινούνταν προς Λάυριο έως το 1957 με 1962. Δεν πρέπει να συγχέεται με τον Σιδηροδρομικό Σταθμό Ηρακλείου, ο οποίος βρίσκεται βόρεια του σταθμού του ηλεκτρικού σιδηροδρόμου και εξυπηρετεί τον Προαστιακό! It was inaugurated on March 4, 1957 and its current form dates back to 2004, when all the stations of line 1 were renovated (gradually, in 2003 - 2004) in view of the Athens Olympic Games. It has two side docks and a train storage line. The Heraklion station was from the opening until the expansion of the network to Kifissia, on August 10, 1957, the terminal station of the line to the north. Heraklion station replaced the old Heraklion Railway Station of the Attica Railways. It was built on the site of the old station and for a short period of time in 1957 offered passengers the possibility of transferring between the EC line and the railway line Lavrio - Agioi Anargyroi, until the closure of the latter later that year. R	Richard Hoggard on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a train station, and during the afternoons and in the evenings the place is packed, thanks to the multiple cafés and bars surrounding the area. After midnight the area gets lonely though. There are also three lines starting nearby the station. 602, 642 which start West of here, where a medical centre is located, and 640 which starts from next to the station, on the side where the square is. 602 connects Iraklio station with Panormou station, and also Irakliou with Kifisias by passing via the districts of Kalogreza and Alsoupoli, 642 is a local bus of the areas of Iraklio and Pefki, and 640 a local line of the area of Iraklio.
