D	Daniil Dorofeev on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like long walks by the sea in the port - this is the place for you. Unfortunately at the end you will find only a small lighthouse, but as a bonus there you can climb the breakwater and walk back through it.
A	Anastasios Kougentakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Those who have a health problem come here, on the "bypass boulevard". 2 km to the lighthouse and 2km back. Good route for walking. Of course the most impressive is the fortress of Koule at the beginning of the pier. And as always we must say about the unacceptable situation that there is not a shadow anywhere in a place so visitable. There is no shady place on the entire coastal front of the city of Heraklion, from Alikarnasos to Amoudara.
A	Allis Tauri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lighthouse itself is but an endpoint of a long walk along the great breakwater. But if you're not afraid of heights I'd recommend you to climb on top of it at the elbow in the middle and continue until the end. Despite its width (about 2m) it's a bit scary, as there's no parapet and no way of climbing down for about 700m; and if the wind and waves are high, you can even get splashed from time to time. But the look at the open sea is very well worth it.

P	Peter Orfankos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn’t the most photographic of lighthouses but it’s probably the best route for a morning or evening run in town. It’s 2K from the fortress and all flat, not to mention the lack of cars.
