★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning open ocean and cliff views! Taking the trail out on the coast (clockwise) to the northeast, the trail eventually disappears in to goat tracks around 3 km as the terrain gets steeper. Extremely rocky. It is very difficult, but possible to make it all the way through to the Avlaki fjord for a swim, and then a short hike to the Katholiko monastery.
Taking the trail inland (c.clockwise) is a gorgeous creekbed trail up and then down to the monastery and the fjord, about 6.5 km each way. Tough hike!
