★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time at Hiona, though we have been visiting Crete for 20 years. Let me say right off, Hiona is great! Manos, Eri and the team do a great job! Excellent location,great atmosphere.We have stayed in many self catering apartments, and Hiona is up with the best. and Manos puts on a Greek night about every other sunday and bar -b-q.Im normally a bit wary of these, but Hiona's is one of the best, with good food, and more importantly for me, Cretan musicians and dancers, rather than the usual bazouki music. Have to say, ignore the few negative reviews on Trip advisor- if you are happy with self catering and dont want 5 star accomodation, Hiona is one of the best in Elounda!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manos was very welcoming and made sure we were happy. Great apartment, enough space, great service, sea is really nearby and the pool is clean. There was working wifi and the neighbourhood was great as well, with enough restaurants, supermarket and shops nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked last minute into a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and well equipped. We have nothing to complain about. Staff are friendly and there is an excellent Greek night on Sunday. Right opposite the sea.
