Holiday Inn Thessaloniki, an IHG Hotel - Monastiriou 8

Overall, as a business traveler, I had everything else I needed. It would be very nice if hotel had some outdoor area to sit and enjoy coffee. But this isn't a deal breaker. Highly recommended.

I am a regular guest at this hotel and they take care of me and they always go above and beyond! Staff at breakfast and at restaurant were amazing. One area of improvement would be to have some junior suites with double/king beds instead of two separate beds as it was a bit uncomfortable.

Our room had not been prepared correctly before our visit. Water was running from the toilet connection onto the bathroom central tiles. We reported it & very quickly plumbers arrived but the 1st 2 did not cure the problem. The 3rd young man quickly found the true problem was the toilet connection to the wall . It was quickly sealed & he asked the cleaning staff to clear up & dry the floor. Excellent but why did the 1st 2 not spot the leak? Also the refrigerator never worked during our whole stay. It managed to keep water cool but not cold. but only just. APART from that our stay was 100% perfect. Everyone from the ladies who cleaned our room whenever it was convenient, to the reception staff, no question was too much trouble for them. The Dining room staff every one, throughout the whole day could not have been more attentive. We entertained friends on 1 occasion who also concurred with us that the staff helped make the evening so very enjoyable. We ate Buffet breakfasts every day & apart from 1 evening (when when we ate elsewhere with our friends)my wife & I enjoyed the food, even though there was a limited choice. As for the taste quality & price we had nothing to complain about.. Safety precautions taken by the hotel were perfect. We felt perfectly safe as far as cleanliness wherever & whenever we were in the Hotel. As a bonus it was nice to see the Metro Crater which had been right in front of your hotel on a previous visit or 2 had been covered over as though it had never existed.

I am a usual guest for this hotel, I mainly go because of the location and collecting points so I can later enjoy but when I go they always put me in the same room, upgraded, a Junior suite with no views,Two single beds where I asked for a king bed when I did the booking. Room floor not very clean, I walked with my black socks and after a while they were white. Toilet in this room is micro size for a suite.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. The restaurant provided very nice meals as well. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Nice location for the center of the city.

Not bad, although the rooms are a bit tired-looking and need refurbishing. Housekeeping staff are very noisy in the corridors so don't expect to sleep in any later than 8am! Nice food in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was very good.

Hotel is dated but food is good. The room is not modern. However it is one of the only few international chain hotel in the city centre with very reasonable rate. Hence the good rating from me.
