Ο ναός είναι παλαιός αλλά συντηρημένος ως προς τη στατικότητα και τη λιθοδομή του. Οι αγιογράφιες που σώζονται είναι ελάχιστες και σε μικρά κομμάτια. Κατά το πέρασμα των χρόνων έχουν υποστεί εκτός από τις φθορές και βανδαλισμούς. Εντός του ναού υπάρχει έντονη η αίσθηση υγρασίας ,και τη συγκεκριμένη χρονική στιγμή σμήνος από κουνούπια είχε φωλιάσει στο αριστερό κλίτος. Ένα λιτό ξύλινο τέμπλο έχει προστεθεί , ίσα για να ξεχωρίσει το ιερό από τον κυρίως ναό. Τέλος να προσθέσουμε τη δωρεά του μικρού καθιστικού που υπάρχει δίπλα από την εκκλησία. Μεταλλική επιγραφή μας ενημερώνει ότι : " Δωρεά Εφημέριος Βαλεόντης Μιχαήλ και εκκλησιαστικών επιτρόπων Μούτσος Γεώργιος - Παπαδημητρίου Δημήτρης, Χορμοβίτης Ιωάννης και Χορμοβίτης Γεώργιος". Θεωρώ πως οι τοιχογραφιές του είναι από τις πιό ενδιαφέρουσες στο νομό Αττικής. Brilliant monument of the Byzantine era which has inside its quality Byzantine frescoes. The access is very easy, it is located inside the cemetery of Kalamos. A visit to the temple is a must, especially for those who deal with Byzantine art. I consider that his murals are among the most interesting in the prefecture of Attica.
