Το εσωτερικό του κοσμούν τοιχογραφίες εξαιρετικής ποιότητας του 13ου και 17ου αιώνα. Στην εξωτερική επιφάνεια του δυτικού τοίχου άλλοτε σώζονταν τοιχογραφίες του 15ου αιώνα, φανερώνοντας την σπουδαιότητα του ναού και την διάρκεια της χρήσης του στο χρόνο. Γύρω από αυτόν βρέθηκαν διάφορες ταφές, ενώ θεωρείται πως αποτελούσε τον ναό του κάστρου. Excellent Byzantine church, built on the medieval Acropolis of Kastoria. It is the only one in the city with a dome. The interior is decorated with frescoes of exceptional quality of the 13th and 17th century. On the outer surface of the western wall, frescoes of the 15th century were once preserved, revealing the importance of the temple and the duration of its use over time. Various burials were found around it, while it is considered to be the temple of the castle.

Χ στην ακροπολη της Καστοριάς δίπλα στους δύο πύργους του Βυζαντινού Καστρου μίκρο τμήμα του οποίου σωζεται μέχρι σήμερα. Ειναι αφιερωμενεος στη Παναγία και το αρχικό όνομα ήταν Σκουταριώτισα ή Ακαταμάχητος. Το όνομα κουμπελίδικη προέκυψε από την Τούρκικη λέξη κουμπες δηλαδή τρούλος. Το πρώτο τμήμα του Ναού καθώς εισέρχεστε έχει αγιογραφίες από τον 15 αι. Διότι είχε υποστεί καταστροφή και επιοδιορθωθηκε ενώ από το μέσο και μετά ως το ιερό έχει τις αρχικές αγιογραφίες των αρχών του 11ου αιώνα. Στον Ναό υπάρχει και σπάνια για ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία εικόνα της Αγίας Τριάδος με απεικόνιση όλων των προσώπων. Very nice temple, the trademark of the city of Kastoria. It was built in 1020 AD on the acropolis of Kastoria next to the two towers of the Byzantine Castle, a small part of which survives to this day. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the original name was Skoutariotissa or Akatamachitos. The name koumbelidiki came from the Turkish word buttons, meaning dome. The first part of the Temple as you enter has hagiographies from the 15th century. Because it had been destroyed and repaired, while from the middle onwards to the sanctuary it has the original hagiographies of the beginning of the 11th century. In the Temple there is also a rare image of the Holy Trinity for the Orthodox Church with the depiction of all persons.

Χρειάζεται προ-συνεννόηση ώστε να την επισκεφτείτε αν και η νεότερη δημοτική αρχή την έκανε επισκέψιμη για τις μέρες του Πάσχα 2022 οπότε ενδέχεται να επαναληφθεί στο μέλλον. Η πρόσβαση είναι λίγο δύσκολη αλλά αξίζει. This church is a trademark of the city! Inside you will see one of the rare depictions of the Holy Trinity. Pre-arrangement is required to visit it, although the newest municipal authority made it accessible for the days of Easter 2022, so it may be repeated in the future. Access is a bit difficult but worth it.

Z	Zoran Аrsovski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small church, located on top of the hill. We could not see it inside, but from the outside it looked pretty unpreserved. It has a large yard space, so the kids had some fun with their bikes:) the area was super quiet. Be mindful if you are walking from the bay to here there are lots of stairs to go up to get here.
