★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μεγαλοπρεπές μοναστήρι σε μια ξεχωριστή γεωγραφική θέση, ορεινή περιοχή με θέα τα νερά του Ιουνίου και στις αρχές για την άνοδο στο μνημείο του Ζαλόγγου. Η απόσταση είναι περίπου 30’ από Πρέβεζα και το οδικό δίκτυο είναι καλό. Οι μοναχές ευγενικές και καλοσυνάτες υποδέχονται τον επισκέπτη πάντα με χαμόγελο.
Majestic monastery in a special geographical location, mountainous area overlooking the waters of June and the beginning of the ascent to the monument of Zalongos. The distance is about 30 'from Preveza and the road network is good. The polite and kind nuns always welcome the visitor with a smile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Holy Monastery of Agios Dimitrios in Zalongo is the full name.
The main temple of the Agios Dimitrios Monastery, founded in the late eighteenth century by the abbot of the Taxiarhis Monastery, Dionysios, lies below the Zalongo Memorial and near the archaeological site of Kassopi.
There is mention of the monastery in 1816 by the iconographers Ioannis and Christodoulos from Korytiani, who participated in the iconography of the district holy temples in Thesprotiko and Papadates

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful monastery, located on the foothills of the Zalongo Mountain, under the monument of Souliotisses and close to the remains of the ancient city of Cassope. There are currently 13 nuns in the monastery and it is exemplary preserved .
The internal part of the church is filled with mural paintings of 1816, as the sign found on the west gate indicates.
The nuns are very welcoming and the whole place is sacred and inspiring!
It is opened every day between 0830 – 1230 except of Friday.
