Χρονολογείται στον 14ο αιώνα και είναι κατάγραφος με τοιχογραφίες, που ανάγονται στο 1410-1411. Ο ναός θεωρείται ότι υπήρξε καθολικό μικρής γυναικείας μονής. Τριγύρω σώζονται τα κατάλοιπα από κτίσματα, που πιθανόν συνδέονται με την λειτουργία της μονής. The church of Agia Irini is located in the uninhabited settlement of Melissa in the valley of Avgou, in the region of Kavousios Ierapetra. It is dated to the 14th century and is a census of frescoes dating from 1410-1411. The church is thought to have been a catholic church of a small female monastery. Around the remains of buildings, probably related to the operation of the monastery, are preserved.
