★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Ιερός αυτός Ναός κτίστηκε από τον ιερέα Γεώργιο Παπακουρούτη, την περίοδο 1685-1715. Την αγιογράφησε ο καλλιτέχνης μοναχός Γαβριήλ, του οποίου το έργο -τοιχογραφίες- έχουν επαινεθεί από τον διάσημο ζωγράφο και συγγραφέα Φώτη Κόντογλου. Εορτάζει στις 15 Αυγούστου, εορτή της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου. Στον ίδιο Ναό εορτάζεται στις 4 Δεκεμβρίου και η Μνήμη της Μεγαλομάρτυρος Αγίας Βαρβάρας.
Σημειώνεται ότι από το αριστερό μέρος του τέμπλου του ναού, πρόσδεναν, ορισμένες φορές, με αλυσίδες, βαριά ψυχοπαθείς, επικαλούμενοι οι οικείοι τους, κατ΄ αυτό τον τρόπο, τη βοήθεια της Παναγίας προς ίαση τους.
 This Holy Temple was built by the priest George Papakouroutis, in the period 1685-1715. It was painted by the artist monk Gabriel, whose work - murals - have been praised by the famous painter and writer Fotis Kontoglou. It celebrates on the 15th of August, the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. In the same Temple is celebrated on December 4 and the Memory of the Great Martyr Saint Barbara.
It is noted that from the left part of the iconostasis of the church, they sometimes tied, with chains, severe psychopaths, invoking their relatives, in this way, the help of the Virgin Mary for their healing.
