★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neglected archaeological site dedicated to god apollo (κορυθος meaning he is carrying a warrior helmet). You need to work your way through olive fields without any signs indicating the path to the temple remains. The temple lies in ruins, only two fallen large columns and remains of the marble pavement and structures are still there to remind us of its glorious past. Nevertheless the feeling of the ruins inside the shades of the old olive trees is magical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It may be obscure, neglected... it may be hard to find, but it has a magical feeling to it and just the sense of "stumbling upon" an ancient temple or sanctuary such as this one of Apollo's is fantastic. I have lived in this area for many years, I had no idea that just off the main road of Agios Andreas this could be found lying in an olive grove. Makes you wonder what else is lying around, right in front of us, that we haven't seen....
