★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σημαντικά ευρήματα αποκαλύφθηκαν στην περιοχή Παλαιοχώρια της Αμαρύνθου Ευβοίας, όπου το 2017 εντοπίστηκε το ιερό της Αμαρυσίας Αρτέμιδος, ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά ιερά της Εύβοιας. Μεταξύ αυτών ένα ομοίωμα χάλκινης φαρέτρας, που αποτελεί τμήμα αγαλματιδίου της Αρτέμιδος και μία νέα βάση γλυπτού που φέρει τα ονόματα της Αρτέμιδος, του Απόλλωνα και της Λητούς, καθώς και ένα ακόμα μεγάλο θεμέλιο.

Επιγραφή κλασικών χρόνων που αναφέρει το τοπωνύμιο «Αμάρυνθος», εντοπίστηκε στα Παλαιοχώρια, 2 χλμ. ανατολικά της σύγχρονης Αμάρυνθου, στην Εύβοια. Η επιγραφή βρέθηκε σε δεύτερη χρήση σε ρωμαϊκή κρήνη και δεν σώζεται ακέραια. Διαβάζεται όμως «... ΑΡΤΕΜΙΔΟΣ ΕΝ ΑΜΑΡΥΝΘΩΙ», γεγονός που επιβεβαιώνει την ταύτιση των αρχαίων θεμελίων, με το ιερό της Αμαρυσίας Αρτέμιδος
Significant discoveries have been unearthed in the Paleochoria area of Amarinthos, Evia, where in 2017 the sanctuary of Amarysia Artemis, one of Evia's most important sanctuaries, was discovered. Among them is a bronze quiver, which forms part of the statuette of Artemis and a new sculpture base bearing the names of Artemis, Apollo and Leto, as well as another large foundation.

An inscription of classical times mentioned under the name "Amarynthos" was found in Paleochoria, 2 km east of modern Amarynthos, in Euboea. The inscription was found in second use on a Roman fountain and is not preserved intact. But it reads "... ARTEMIDOS IN AMARINTHOS", which confirms the identification of the ancient foundations with the sanctuary of Amarysia Artemis
