★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μπήκαμε να ανάψουμε ενα κερί απόγευμα στις 27/12. Η χαμηλής έντασης ηχογραφημένη λειτουργία που ακουγόταν μέσα απο το ιερό δημιουργούσε μια ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Βρίσκεται στην Αλωνίσταινα. Ένα γραφικό ορεινό χωριό, γενέτειρα τής μητέρας του Κολοκοτρώνη. Το εσωτερικό έχει όμορφες εικόνες. Έξω από τόν ναό της Αγίας Παρασκευής βρίσκεται ο τάφος τής Ζαμπίας Κολοκοτρώνη το γένος Κωτσάκη.
It is located in Alonistaina. A picturesque mountain village, birthplace of Kolokotronis's mother. The interior has beautiful pictures. Outside the church of Agia Paraskevi is the tomb of Zambia Kolokotroni of the Kotsaki family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Λέγεται ότι ο Κολοκοτρώνης παρακάλεσε την Αγία Παρασκευή να τον βοηθήσει στη μάχη των Δερβενακίων και αυτός θα της το ξεπλήρωνε.
Αφού κέρδισε τη μάχη στα Δερβενάκια πλήρωσε κάποιο μάστορα για να ανακατασκευάσει την εκκλησία της Αγίας Παρασκευής.
Αυτός πήρε τα λεφτά και εξαφανίστηκε χωρίς να κάνει το παραμικρό.
Ο Κολοκοτρώνης τον έψαξε.
Τον βρήκε και τον έφερε στην Αγία Παρασκευή όπου και τον κρέμασε.
Με άλλο μάστορα ανακατασκεύασε και μεγάλωσε τον ναό.

After winning the battle in Dervenakia, he paid a craftsman to reconstruct the church of Agia Paraskevi.
He took the money and disappeared without doing the slightest.
Kolokotronis searched him.
He found him and brought him to St. Paraskevi where he hung him.
Another craftsman rebuilt and raised the temple.
