★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ὁ Ἱερός Ναός τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἀθανασίου Νιγρίτης ἀνεγέρθηκε τό 1906, σύμφωνα μέ τήν ἐντοιχισμένη ἐπιγραφή, σέ θέση παλαιοτέρου Ναοῦ. Ὁ Ναός εἶναι τρίκλιτη καμαροσκεπής βασιλική ἄνευ τρούλου καί ἐγκαινιάσθηκε τό 1950 ἀπό τόν τότε Μητροπολίτη Σερρῶν καί Νιγρίτης Κωνσταντίνο (Μεγγρέλη). Κατά τό παρελθόν ἔγιναν πολλές ἐργασίες συντήρησης καί ἀνακαίνισης τοῦ Ναοῦ. Ἡ διακόσμηση τοῦ Ναοῦ μέ ἁγιογραφίες ἔγινε τό 1990.
The Holy Temple of Agios Athanasios Nigritis was erected in 1906, according to the built-in inscription, on the site of an older Temple. The church is a three-aisled vaulted basilica without a dome and was inaugurated in 1950 by the then Metropolitan of Serres and Nigritis Constantinos (Megreli). In the past, many maintenance and renovation works of the Temple were done. The decoration of the Temple with paintings was done in 1990.
