Just feel it when you will be inside and light your candles. Visit early morning to avoid the long line of people. Respect And give way for those people whose kneeling on their way inside the church. Some start in the street outside. The view after you go inside the church is breathtaking. After you can also go down the building where you can get a holy water bring your own container if you can. Parking is available around the church. A lot of store outside.<3

For the history lovers, they might see the rings of fighters like Kolokotronis pledged there. The building itself was built at the sight of an ancient Greek temple dedicated to Dionysus, and more marble was taken from the holy ancient Greek island of Delos. One can see lions from there now adorning the church here. Every year, on the three days between 13th and 15th of August, there are island-wide celebrations for the dormition of Panagia (Virgin Mary).

You will be surprise by the beauty and a lot to see here of course away from the port. The church or miracles in Chora ( Pilgrimage destination) the capital of Tinos is a must visit near the port. Away from the port we stay in this lovely picturesque village called Dyo Choria. Lovely sandy beaches,
