Awesome view and nice people. And a lovely doggy..but the real reason I leave this review is that we just cooked with the oregano and the honey we bought here and lordddyyy. It's amazing. Buy some to take home with your coffee you won't regret.

The place is breath taking, the view is sublime and the small "coffeshop" close by serves a pure orange juice that is worth all the money in the world. The road upp to the viewpoint must be one the most beautiful roads in Europe.

Two possibilities to get a good panoramic view: 1. At the second tunnel (direction Sfakia) there's a little snack bar, where you can sit and make good photos 2. After 200m there's a little parking place where you have a wonderful view at the winding roads.

Beautiful hike. Definitely a better choice than Samaria for us because we aren't trained very well and didn't want to spend an entire day hiking. Entry charge a mere 2.5 Euros, path is mostly downhill, and pebbled ground, so wear good shoes. Relatively easy. We walked slowly and it took us 3 hours. Got out, sat at a small tavern, and they gave us a ride back to Imbros village for 5 euros per person. We however didn't see any toilets or water fountain, maybe we just missed them. But we carried enough water. The weather was cool, as it was mostly cloudy so we weren't that thirsty. You can start the hike from both sides but I'd recommend starting at Imbros Village because it's downhill from there, unless you like uphill hikes.

The staff was kind enough to let us check the view from their terrace, although we were in a hurry and couldn't stay to buy anything. If we'll get back on the island, we'll definitely stop for more. They have some local products for sale such as honey - so stop by if you have the chance. Be careful with the parking, though. It's paved with rocks that might hurt sports car. The entrance is on the left of the tunnel. Enjoy the view!

Amazing view of the Gorge from the car park and cafe above. All those windy roads are well worth it. Good stop off point if traveling from north to south or vice versa.
