Stayed here for a week for a holiday, Nice small hotel/apartments with onsite restaurant. Run by a nice family, food is very nice and good price. The home made chips are very nice. Swimming pool, and sunbeds available.

We didn't stay in the apartments, but visited the open restaurant for an evening meal. Our host was very passionate but some of her well meaning comments made us feel uncomfortable. Along with this, a local cat wandered in and was the host showed no desire to remove it, instead encouraging this cat that would watch and approach us while eating. The food itself was amazing and the ouzi (as well as raki) that was served as a digestive was an interesting spin. Setting was atmospheric and pleasant. Overall, I feel the front of house let down the quality. Would recommend but wouldn't go again.

This was the least hygienic and least hospitable place my partner and I have ever stayed. The first rule was not to disturb other guests, but the owners constantly screamed across the courtyard. They offered no welcome to us and were more concerned with having our voucher so they’d get paid. It seems that guests who want to spend money at the apartments are treated much better than those who don’t. We were given two single beds – another guest staying alone had an identical apartment with a double bed! Only one swimming pool was available – the other was taped off and had a thin layer of oil on it. The one that was available had visible dirt and cat droppings on the bottom. Towels and bedding weren’t changed, even when visibly dirty. I ended up asking for clean bedding and changing it myself. Furnishings were stained and ragged, and the towels had holes in them. The bathroom tap was hanging off the sink, and you had to hold it in place when turning it on. The shower always took 5-10 minutes to warm up – another guest said the same thing. On the last day there was no hot water at all. The shower leaked everywhere, so the bath mat was soaked through, but was never replaced. Our floor became filthy because we had to wear flip flops. Bins weren’t emptied for days, and no information about emptying them ourselves – especially bad when used toilet paper is supposed to be put in the bin, not the toilet. I really could go on but there’s a character limit! We’d love to visit Stalis again, but hell will freeze over before we stay at Iraklis again.

Great place to stay if your looking for a good and a quality holiday. Very clean, staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Made to feel welcome and our Solos rep, Claire, was brilliant - making sure we needed for nothing. Everything is reasonably priced with bus services and the sea front close by. Shops, bars and restaurants are all good - no problems with food and drinks here. No real worries with mosquitos either. Overall, it's well worth the money I spent. Recommended for a singles holiday.

Fantastic! Wonderful staff (the family are lovely and welcoming, and Helen and Clare are helpful and friendly) good accommodation, delicious meals and a lovely swimming pool. It's also in a great location with an easy walk to the beach and also to the bus stop for buses to Heraklion. This was my second stay there in five years.

Had a fantastic relaxing week, nothing was too much trouble everybody was friendly and helpful with the added bonus of speaking really good English. Our room had a lovely big balcony looking towards the sea, we were happy sunbathing and relaxing with out having to go down to the pool. Lots of shops and restaurants in stalis and all with in easy walking distance from apartment. Kids had WiFi,rooms were clean with fresh towels very relaxed atmosphere. We liked April as season hadn't yet really started so lovely and quiet. Looking forward to staying again at this lovely family run apartment thank you for having us and your hospitality x

The friendliest family run business and by far best place to stay in the area. The family are very welcoming, the rooms are spacious, well laid out and very very clean. The pool is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The food is awesome too, lots of choices for breakfasts lunch and dinner. But what really makes the difference is the 'vibe' of the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. This is a business run professionally by the Iraklis family, clearly with an absolute passion. The small touches such as the plants and fresh flowers, through to the welcoming, smiling staff every day makes for a very pleasant stay. I high recommend staying here... ignore the rest and stay with the best!!
