Η ιδέα του Αστεροσχολείου ανήκει στο ζεύγος εκπαιδευτικών Γιώργου Σφήκα και Κίας Τζιώτζη, υποστηρίχτηκε από το Σύλλογο Ερασιτεχνών Αστρονόμων και τις τοπικές αρχές και χρηματοδοτήθηκε με δωρεά € 260.000 από το ζεύγος των Υπαταίων Σταύρου και Ειρήνης Κακογιάννη, στους οποίους οφείλεται και το όνομα του.
It was inaugurated in 2010. The idea of the Observatory belongs to the couple of teachers George Sfikas and Kias Tziotzis, was supported by the Association of Amateur Astronomers and local authorities and was funded with a donation of € 260,000 by the couple of.

Hypati Asteroid School. You don't believe there is such a spectacle in a village. It's not worth it to visit, you must. Well done to everybody.

Beautiful place and summer full of activities !!! It is worth coming to this village for a summer vacation your children will find plenty of things to do

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ίσως να είναι υπέροχο. Ίσως να είναι καταπληκτικό. Όμως δυο Κυριακές πρωί που το επισκεφθηκαμε με τα παιδιά, και τις δύο ήταν κλειστό. Ίσως είναι ανοιχτό μόνο για οργανωμένα τμήματα, σχολεία ή μετά από ραντεβού. Παρακαλώ ενημερώστε στο διαδίκτυο και στους χάρτες τις ώρες που είναι ανοιχτό. Ευχαριστώ.
Maybe it's great. It might be amazing. But two Sunday mornings when we visited it with the children, both were closed. It may only be open to organized classes, schools or by appointment. Please inform the internet and the maps of the opening hours. Thanks.
